Bryant L. Myers writes his book Walking With the Poor out of a breath of experience. He worked with World Vision for over twenty three years, now working as the vice president for international program strategy. He also is an ordained elder in the Presbyterian Church of the U.S.A. This was the best book that I have ever read on the subject of development work among the poor. I learned so much from this book. All Christians going into this type of work need to read this book. Even if your not working directly with the poor it might be good for you to read it, so you can support organizations that are.
